Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is an action role-playing game with a vast open world to explore, relentless challenges to overcome, and hundreds of weapons to choose from.
Immerse yourself in a fantasy world in which two distinct societies coexist: the Elden, immortal warriors who are descended from the Wild Hunt, and the Vrykerion, the Fallen, descendants of the nexuses.
During the Vanishing of the Fae, an ancient war that was waged between the two races, the Vrykerion became corrupt. They lost their immortality and were forced to live mortal lives.
Over the millenia, they have established vast societies in our world, leaving their mark in the forms of deities and endless power to ravage.
The world of Wolcen is divided into over fifty provinces, each with its own history and geography. The Vrykerion monsters live in the darkest parts of the world.
Aquatic creatures dominate the seas and rivers. Giants can be found in the lands north of the mountains, and the creatures of the Fey realm call the forested areas of the continent home.
The Elden live in the northern parts of the world and, alongside their reclusive nature, are very clever and agile. There is a rivalry between the two races, but the Vrykerion despise the Elden more than any other race, seeing them as perfect enemies.
Between the two are the shifters, beings that are half-breed, born out of strange unions between Vrykerion and Elden, and play an important role in the conflict between the two races.
The second playable race is the Fae. The Fae lived in harmony with nature, until the fall of the Vrykerion corrupted all of the races, awakening the forbidden gifts of the Fae race.
Fae men, women and children, plus their allies, are no longer slaves to the Vrykerion magic, but gain their own superiority and weapons to use against their enemies.
This is a fantasy world that is heavily inspired by world history and myths.

During the Vanishing of the Fae, both the Elden and Fae races were able to learn to utilize magic from the Wild Hunt. The Elden learn to channel the power of the Wild Hunt through their lifepaths

 

Features Key:

  • Reflexive Gameplay – The
    game focuses on cooperation and improvisation. You have to react to the
    other players’ actions. When the game starts, a live 3D model appears
    on the table: an exploding globe with a medusa head. It’s your
    job to decorate it with explosives and anti-explosive meshes. As
    people blow up, you must place spikes on the muzzles of the medusa
    heads.

    It may sound hard at first, but keep in mind you do not waste time with
    decorating or setting up. Think fast, improvise and you will see! After
    the onset, every player must update on the state of the game every
    moment.

    • Live Nation – The game will help to promote
      Live Nation, their music events, and artists. Each player will have to
      perform actions in front of a music video and have to connect events
      related to the artist. You have to find connections between the YouTube
      videos and events in your city, and trigger events with cameras.
      Furthermore, you will have to improvise actions like: “change the
      pyrotechnic” or “defence of the arena” to attract more attention to

    Let me count the ways: I got to work on games the second the thing was released! It’s a good gig, but it can be a bit stressful, especially when your first release is an eShop game.
