AutoCAD LT is a free, pre-installed version of AutoCAD for the Microsoft Windows operating system that serves as a preview release for AutoCAD. In contrast to the full version of AutoCAD, the LT version can be used to create 2D drawings but not 3D models. The LT version requires that certain hardware or software drivers be installed in the operating system. Like AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT is a desktop app that runs on computers equipped with a display screen, a mouse, and a keyboard.
The Microsoft Visio product family includes applications with similar capabilities as those found in AutoCAD. Visio is a desktop app that can be run on a Windows or Mac OS system. Visio also features a cloud option for users to make collaborative drawings.
What does AutoCAD do?
AutoCAD does 3D modeling and 2D drafting. AutoCAD features a familiar user interface that allows users to input drawings into the software with the help of a mouse and a keyboard. It features multiple views of the drawing, including three-dimensional (3D) views that display the model as it will appear in its final construction. Users can control the viewpoint of the drawing, including the ability to move the viewpoint around a 3D drawing to see all angles and perspectives of the design.
AutoCAD is popular among commercial-building construction companies. It can be used to create highly detailed, architectural models of residential or commercial buildings, such as a hospital, a convention center, or a retail store. The ability to track 2D drawings as they are altered by the user makes AutoCAD an effective modeling tool for architects, engineers, and other skilled professionals.
Unlike previous modeling tools such as Onshape, which was acquired by Autodesk in 2017, AutoCAD can simultaneously create 2D drawings and 3D models in one environment. For example, if a user is designing a rendering or model of a building, he or she can create a 2D drawing of a wall, window, or other architectural feature in a building. Then the user can enter design parameters, such as the thickness of the wall or the height of a window, into the drawing and draw the features in 3D.
Where can I get AutoCAD?
AutoCAD is available on the Microsoft Windows, Macintosh, and Linux operating systems. The LT version can be downloaded free of charge from the Autodesk website. AutoCAD LT
In the AutoCAD Cracked Version 2011 software, the Windows Forms user interface has been replaced by a more flexible, tablet-friendly user interface called tablet user interface (TUI). The drawing and command panels have also been removed and replaced by a new ribbon, menus, and toolbars.
One of the most significant new features in AutoCAD is the ability to build virtualized drawings. This feature allows a user to create a virtualized drawing that can be shared and shown on multiple devices or spreadsheets. Other changes in AutoCAD 2011 include AutoCAD Architecture, which enables architects and designers to design and simulate buildings, AutoCAD Electrical, which is a complete electrical design tool, AutoCAD Civil 3D, which is a complete architectural design tool, and AutoCAD 3D Modeling, which allows users to create and display 3D models. AutoCAD also includes several new features such as the ability to render stereoscopic images of your drawings, the ability to create a virtual 3D model of a project, and the ability to layer and save individual elements of a drawing.
As with the previous AutoCAD releases, AutoCAD 2012 is an annual subscription product. It is available on Microsoft Windows and the Apple iOS and Android platforms. The initial release of AutoCAD 2013 was available on July 15, 2012, followed by a second release on July 26, 2012.
On September 4, 2013, Autodesk released AutoCAD 2013.
In 2013, Autodesk introduced an open-source version of AutoCAD called AutoCAD LT. In 2016, the open-source version was renamed to AutoCAD Metacard for open-source developers and Autodesk Data Design Suite for users.
On August 9, 2016, Autodesk released AutoCAD 2017. It is the first AutoCAD version to require a Microsoft Windows 7 operating system or newer.
On July 12, 2017, Autodesk released AutoCAD 2018.

For installing Autodesk AutoCAD, see:
You need to enable the menu option: File > Options > User Preferences > check the option:
Import from CAD (.cad) files.
For more information on the user preferences see:
.zip file, and extract the.cad file to:
Note: it is advised to create a separate user profile for working with Autodesk Software, so you can use a different AutoCAD version from your default settings.
If you are working in ‘one shot’ mode, which means that you will create a single file (in my example: model), then it is enough to use the.zip file.
However, if you are working on different parts of a model, for example, you are working on a project and you have to export multiple parts of your model, then use the options available under Export Settings from the menu: File > Export… and choose the.zip file.
In ‘one shot’ mode the output file path will be the same as your input file, i.e.:
If you are working in’multiple files’ mode, then you need to specify a new output file path, for example:
C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2020\Output Files\
C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2020\Output Files\
Filename may be changed or renamed, depending on the size of the file, and your settings in Options > Export Settings.
If you don’t have a separate user profile, then the output file will be located:
Import data from websites and webpages, and send this data directly to your drawing. You can create and insert hyperlinks and even add images to this imported data. (video: 1:15 min.)
Create and manage you document with relevant previews and highlighting. Provide more context by viewing information about the elements in your drawings, including images, layers, filters, cross-hairs, and colors. (video: 1:15 min.)
import your favorite website as a style: Copy URL, paste into right-click menu, then select Import From Web Style.
You can now easily create data-based styles. These styles can be used in traditional ways, including parameterized dimensions and quantities.
Import a web page to a drawing, with all associated information, including links and images.
Design your models with cross-hairs on visible parts of the design that can be edited. Quickly select an object or area within the drawing and change it. (video: 1:15 min.)
Leverage the simplicity and robustness of the Windows file system to organize your drawing file into subdirectories by layout and component. This can be very helpful when you have a large number of drawings, or just when you work in a large organization.
Add one or more new drawings and see all of your other drawings at a glance in the My Documents window.
Increase or decrease your paper size, and see the effect immediately. The size of your paper is directly reflected in all drawing commands. The image viewer automatically changes to the paper size you have selected. (video: 2:45 min.)
Create a print-ready PDF with all the details of your drawing. Your PDF will also include all the colors in your drawing, layers, annotation, and any imported styles.
A Mac-only feature, Bring to Front and Send to Back allow you to effortlessly bring and send layers, cross-hairs, colors, styles, objects, filters, and any other drawing element to the top or bottom of the drawing list.
Add perspective view drawing to your model, without having to create a separate view.
Add and edit commands for switching views in other modes, such as the Plan, Section, and 3D views.
The default command to create sections and lines is more flexible: you can add a variable dimension, snap to a point or edge, and even add a fixed dimension.
