The name “AutoCAD” is an acronym derived from the words “auto” and “draftsman.” AutoCAD is a software package for creating two-dimensional drafting and design work. It is one of Autodesk’s most popular products. The idea of a computer drafting program was first conceived by a California mechanical engineer, John Walker, and two engineers at the Hewlett-Packard Company who were working on a system that would produce 3D printed parts based on mathematical models. They determined that the state of technology at the time was not sufficiently advanced to do that. Walker then developed a new concept that could take those three-dimensional models and convert them into 2D sketches that could be used as an initial drawing or product concept.
The idea caught on. Walker was hired by the Burroughs Corporation to adapt his concept into a working product. The product was called “Drawing System 4”, but because of the company’s problems with trademark infringement, it was renamed “AutoCAD”. Autodesk bought AutoCAD in 1987. This was one of the first acquisitions made by Autodesk, one of the company’s first spin-offs from AutoCAD.

As well as being a CAD program, AutoCAD can also be used to create drawings that are specific to another discipline, such as electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc. The ability to design complex projects in 2D is a distinct advantage to AutoCAD over other CAD programs, and this ability is the core of the product. The drawing tools provided with AutoCAD are many and varied. In the early days of C++, when there were few C++ compilers, C++ was not as widespread as it is today. Also the libraries to use were not as advanced as they are today. Therefore, AutoCAD had a lot of obscure type definitions. These were sometimes typedef’ed to the standard types to make them more intuitive to use. In this table, only those type definitions from the “AutoCAD 2000 and later” series are listed.
In AutoCAD 2000 type definition functions were available to adjust colors and textures in 3D. In AutoCAD 2002, the functions were changed to add effects. In AutoCAD 2010, the type definitions were all replaced by variants, that had a better defined type, and could take an additional parameter, that described the effect to be applied.
In the case of the functions that were previously part of AutoCAD Graphics, the parameters were changed to be more understandable, when describing the parameters that could be passed in. Also the return type was changed from the old “Object*”, to match the input type.
The “long” types, used in the old structures, are no longer supported, as the structures have changed. They were replaced with types that use pointers, but define the size as the old long size. This makes it easier to understand what the size is of the structure.
For several structures that were renamed in 2010, the old functions are still available. In these cases, the parameter and return type of the functions changed, but the name of the function stayed the same.
C++ is used by applications that access a Direct3D window, which is typically provided as part of a windowing API, such as Microsoft Windows.
Some AutoCAD C++ functions use Direct3D to render 3D objects or surfaces and to create and manipulate DirectX textures. The functions use the Direct3D interface that is provided by Microsoft Windows and the DirectX libraries. This interface was created specifically for use by Autodesk and is used in AutoCAD Graphics, AutoCAD Mechanical, AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and AutoCAD LT.

Substitute for NaOCl
I want to have a washing machine disinfecting my clothes with soap.
I cannot find a sterilizing agent for soap.
Since NaOCl is often the sterilizing agent in laundry detergent, I decided to try it on my clothes.
Would it be a bad idea to use it as a substitute for NaOCl?
The only problem I see is that it will destroy the color of the clothes, which I do not mind.
Any other problems I should be aware of?
There is no way to “add” chemicals to washing powder. I would assume that any washing powder will strip colour from fabrics due to acidity in the wash. The only way to wash your clothing with soap is to actually use soap.

I am trying to install Sun’s keytool utility to a folder, but I have a problem.
