Should the Mysql table that contains data for a website be in a different Database than the Application?
I’m designing a website that will have a DB that contains all the data for the site. When a user posts on the site, it will be added to a new table, or sub-table (i.e. the user updates a users row in the database).
Should i keep the tables inside the main DB that I use to design the site, or separate them into a new database? What pros and cons would there be by doing this?
I wouldn’t use a completely separate database if the data is just being used for the website. If a user is logged in, you could store that information in the same database as the rest of the user’s information. If they are not logged in, you would just have a flag to keep the information in a certain place in case the user is logged in.
Basically, I would use a system similar to how Facebook does things.

Previous research has shown that acetylcholine (ACh) and nicotine administered centrally or locally into hippocampal or cerebral cortex can induce a passive avoidance-like effect. The goal of this study was to determine if ACh and nicotine, given either intracerebroventricularly (i.c.v.) or systemically, affect passive avoidance behavior in mice. Two doses of i.c.v. ACh (10, 100 micrograms) induced passive avoidance-like behavior; three doses of nicotine (0.3, 1.0, 3.0 mg/kg) did not. I.c.v. hexamethonium (15 mg/kg), systemic hexamethonium (20 mg/kg) or systemic mecamylamine (5 mg/kg) blocked the ACh-induced passive avoidance-like effect and pirenzepine (0.2 mg/kg) blocked the ACh-induced amnesia. I.c.v. atropine (0.25-25 micrograms) failed to block the passive avoidance-like effect of ACh. These results suggest that i.c.v. ACh, like systemic nicotine, does not alter passive avoidance behavior. Furthermore, the ACh-induced amnesia is likely mediated by muscarinic cholinergic receptors. The failure of i.c.v. atropine to block the passive avoidance-like effect of ACh,
I tried to convert dotnetbar.jar to.txt using java but it doesn’t work.
I would be thankful if someone can help me.
You can use apache commons io library to read the content of the jar as shown below
public class App
public static void main( String args )
try (InputStream stream = new URL( “” ).openStream() )
byte bytes = new byte[ stream.available() ];
stream.read( bytes );
String contents = new String( bytes );
System.out.println( contents );
catch ( Exception e )
