**Figure 3-24:** The Photoshop layers have an important effect on your image.
One of the first decisions you make when working with a new piece of software is how to name it. This seemingly small decision can cause you to create a file that is unintentionally difficult to find.
If you’re naming a file and wish to find it again later, you can use the `file name extension` set to `.psd` instead of just `.psd`. Then you can type the name of the file and see if you can find it in your file system. The `psd` file name extension makes it easy to identify the file later. It gives Photoshop a short, easy-to-remember name.
Photoshop is a raster image editing program, so the file extension for raster images is always `.rif` (for raster image).
The Photoshop `.psd` file extension stands for Photoshop document, so anyone who opens that file is looking at a Photoshop document. For more information, see the sidebar “Contrasting.rif and.psd File Extensions.”
Take a look at the file name formats that most image programs use.
Photoshop `.psd`: A Photoshop document
Adobe Illustrator: An Adobe Illustrator document
Adobe Flash: A Flash file
Lightroom: A Lightroom document
The file name for a.jpg image is simply a jpg.
The file name for a.tif image is simply a tif.
Whenever possible, Adobe recommends that you use `.psd` file names to store your image files. This file extension is unique to Photoshop, so if you save a file as a PNG, GIF, or JPEG image and use Photoshop to open it, the Photoshop file will open and the image will appear in the same window as the original image.
While you may use the Photoshop `.psd` file extension to save your documents, you need to be careful that you don’t store your main image file in the wrong folder. In particular, when you save a project file, a file that contains layers, remember to save it in a folder containing `.psd` files. If you don’t, you will lose the ability to open the file, as well as the layers, in any other Photoshop program.

Delete all old repositories from Google Cloud
I have an old repository on Google Cloud Source Repositories (GCSRepo) called jcuit.
Every time I make a commit to it, the master branch is automatically created (to which I want to push my commit).
Is there a way to delete all the old branches (i.e. master, develop and release) and create a new one?
You can remove a repository from source repo. You can use the same URL as well if you are confident in creating a new one.
gcloud source-repositories –project= remove –repository=
and if you want to remove the repo and all branches with history
gcloud source-repositories –project= remove –repository= –branches=master develop release
I couldn’t find delete branches option for GCS Repos. If anyone finds it, please add it as an answer.
1. Field of the Invention
The invention relates to a method for the correction of the shifting of an output shaft of a gear shift of a motor vehicle, especially an automatic transmission or a manual gearbox. More specifically, the invention relates to a method for the automatic correction of the shifting process in a gear shift, which gear shift is output of a program-controlled gearbox and in which a control unit is connected to an input of a sensor signal which can detect a signal element or a defined signal characteristic emitted by the sensor.
2. Description of the Related Art
In motor vehicles, a manual shifting of gear ratios takes place by the driver. An automatic shifting is performed by a control device in an automatic transmission or a manual gearbox, which control device is connected to a sensor for detecting a driving condition and which signals the control unit of an automatic transmission or a manual gearbox about a drive-relevant condition. The control device operates the gearshift by changing the torque distribution ratio between the input shaft and the output shaft of the automatic transmission or the manual gearbox.
The control device for the automatic transmissions controls the gearshift during the shift process. During the shift process, a shift program or a transmission control program attempts to influence the gearshift preferably by controlling the
How to find a UIViewController which is in a UINavigationViewController from one View Controller to be presented
I have a situation here. I have a UINavigationViewController. In one of the Controller I have to find a UIViewController which is in that UINavigationController. How do I find the UIViewController from inside of the one Controller? And then, how do I proceed to present that UIViewController?
Thanks in advance.
I don’t know if you have created a view controller using Xib or using storyboard. If you use xib, then use the Xib Object Owner concept, you can get the reference to the UINavigationController. From the UINavigationController, you can get the reference of the view controller you are looking for.
Using storyboard, its little complicated, but you can consider the same approach.
Minimally invasive technique for resection of liver metastases from colorectal cancer.
Resection of liver metastases is associated with potentially curative treatment and improved survival. In recent years, the efficacy of hepatic metastasectomy with a standard open approach has been demonstrated, but the minimally invasive technique has received less attention. It seems that the anatomic structures and technical details of the laparoscopic resection of liver metastases are very similar to those of open hepatic resection. To compare the clinical results of open hepatic resection with those of laparoscopic hepatic resection for liver metastases, we performed a study with a retrospective analysis of the medical records of the patients who underwent hepatic resection for liver metastases from colorectal cancer over the last 2 years in our institution. Of 531 patients who underwent hepatic resection for liver metastases at our institution from 2001 to 2003, we found 87 cases of hepatic metastasis originating from colorectal cancer. Of these 87, 21 patients underwent hepatic resection with open technique and 66 with laparoscopic technique. There were no significant differences between the open and laparoscopic groups regarding patient characteristics, pathology of the primary tumors, and number of liver metastases. Laparoscopic hepatic resection was associated with significantly longer operative time, greater blood loss, and greater postoperative morbidity than open hepatic resection. However, open resection was associated with significantly longer hospital stay than laparoscopic rese
